Letter from the President:
I founded Resource Executive Search in 1981 in response to a growing client demand for a search firm partnership that could execute a customer-centric recruitment process. The objectives were simple – help our clients increase employee retention and improve candidate satisfaction while providing an outstanding level of customer service for all individuals involved. I was always driven to run my own business and work in a profession where I could use my passion for customer service. The executive search profession combines the art of bringing people together and the science of qualifying skills, culture fit and true intentions. The successful track record of Resource, Inc. in these areas and the knowledge that we have assisted hundreds of individuals in reaching their goals and full potential brings me great satisfaction. I love what we do, how we do it and am very proud of the service we have created.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Umass Amherst in 1971 and went on to own and operate restaurants, a jazz club and even a chain of delicatessens. After learning many lessons in entrepreneurship I joined a national consumer products focused recruiting firm called Roth Young and was a managing partner for several years before founding Resource in 1981.
Growing up, my father was a vice president of sales for a major protein processor based in the Midwest. Living in the heartland, I learned the importance of values, integrity and hard work. We moved several times to support his career, so I understand the challenges of transitioning to a new environment/culture successfully and how to develop strong relationships with new people. I apply all of my experience – both success and failure – to service all our clients’ challenges, train my recruiters and advise the contacts in my network. In all, the most important thing you should know about me and Resource, Inc. is that we are successful because we care about longevity of relationships and the well-being of others.
I’m extremely proud of what Resource Executive Search has become, but I’m even more satisfied about the growth and development of my family. My wife Beverly and I have shared a marriage for over 40 years have three children, Dana, Lauren and Timothy and seven grandchildren.

Meet Our Team
Tom Healy – President & Founder
Tom Healy founded Resource Executive Search in 1981 and is responsible for the general management of the company as well as conducting senior-level retained search assignments. His vision to start a firm started a few years after earning a managing partner level role at Roth Young, a national consumer packaged goods executive search firm. Tom has over three decades of search experience and a deep knowledge of all functions of the consumer products industry. During the last 30 years, Tom has completed over a thousand search assignments nationwide and has developed a reputation for being unequivocally fair-minded. His philosophy has remained constant – to develop long-term relationships with decision makers using honesty and integrity. Tom earned his bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst in 1971.

Ed Hanafin – Vice President
Ed specializes nationally in intermediate and senior level search with a major concentration in executive sales & sales management, marketing and finance. Prior to joining Resource, Inc. in 1997, Ed spent 25 years in sales management with Procter & Gamble in the northeast region of the country. Taking his broad base of consumer knowledge forward, Ed purchased a well-known regional dairy processing company in the Boston, MA area. Within four years of ownership he was approached and sold the business to a major dairy concern well known to the Boston and New England region. Prior to joining Resource, Inc. worked as a Recruiter for six years at a Boston- based executive search firm specializing in the recruitment of finance executives. With 40 total years of experience in consumer markets and recruitment, Ed delivers time tested solutions and insight.

Tim Healy – Vice President
Tim is in his eighth year with the firm. He conducts intermediate to senior level leadership searches in areas such as operations, supply chain, engineering and quality assurance. He is responsible for driving research and candidate identification improvement processes, and managing our business technology evolution. Prior to joining Resource, Tim spent two years conducting outdoor marketing events for several Mountain Dew® product lines within the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S. Tim is a post-graduate of the Loomis Chaffee School in 1999, and a graduate of Ithaca College in 2003.

Paul Morrissey – Vice President
Paul is a seasoned executive with a diverse and extensive background in all facets of logistics and operations management. His broad base of experience includes senior-level positions in sales, marketing, purchasing and operations with two of the nation’s largest food service distributors (Sysco and US Foods) and third party logistics providers (Exel Logistics and P&O Cold Logistics).Paul’s most recent role was as president and CEO of one of New England’s largest family owned and operated food service distributors. His management experience includes: strategic planning, business forecasting, reorganization and restructuring, acquisition planning and execution, and intense financial management. Paul’s expertise is in senior-level searches for logistics, operations and supply chain management.
