Must Have Food Manufacturing Experience

Our Boston area food manufacturing client is growing like crazy and needs a second experienced Maintenance Manager. In this newly-created role, you will be responsible for leading your team in maintaining the equipment and facility at the highest technical standards, while complying with all food safety regulations.

Your Role:

  • Leadership and career/skill development of your team through training, coaching, mentoring, goal-setting, measurement, and accountability
  • Collaboration with the Operations, Quality, and Planning teams and creation of a robust hand-off (shift coordination) process for dependable communication and process efficiency
  • Understand and accomplish of all of the technical basics:
  • Safe work practices and regulations – OSHA, LOTO, Etc.
  • Process, systems, electrical, controls
  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance
  • Maintenance team’s role in complying with GMP’s and local, state, and federal regulatory agencies such as Health Depts., USDA, FDA
  • Development, implementation, and leadership of programs & systems which contribute to process improvement and enhance company resultsPredictive Maintenance
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Work Orders
  • Parts Requisitions & Purchase Orders

Your Attributes:

  • You know how to coach people and build strong and flexible teams
  • You have a technical school education or an engineering degree plus several years of maintenance/engineering leadership experience in food manufacturing
  • Are a strong contributor to process improvement and appreciate the opportunities available in a very high-growth organization
  • Motivated to participate in the success of the team and company and flexible in your approach, recognizing that plans and needs can change unexpectedly
  • Appreciate the need for detail, organization, and management of multiple priorities while maintaining healthy internal and cross-functional relationships
