An open letter from the Founder of Resource

First of all let me thank you visiting our company website. I hope that you will read through the site and learn a bit more than you did before about what we do as well as how passionate we are about doing what we do.

I began my executive search experience in 1981 with a national executive search firm in Boston. In 1989, I left my practice and founded Resource, Inc. My goal was to better serve my clients and candidates exclusively within the CPG industry by delivering extensive market expertise, a passionate level of service and a commitment to help those clients and candidates fulfill their search expectations. My straightforward approach probably comes from my childhood growing up in a Midwest state where straight talk, honesty and caring about people always came first.

My nearly 30 years in the Executive Search industry have been as rewarding as I could have imagined. In my earlier career I spent 10 years owning and operating restaurants, a jazz club and even a chain of delicatessens. Now that's a long time ago!

Interestingly enough though the same personal drive and passion that I utilize today was what characterized my success in those earlier days. Providing outstanding service as well as an outstanding product each and every day of every week and the sheer enjoyment of meeting new people all along the way. I'm a lucky person.

Edward Hanafin, Vice President
Ed specializes nationally in mid and senior level search with his major concentration being Executive Sales & Sales Management, Marketing and Finance. Previous to joining Resource, Inc. in 1997 Ed spent 25 years in sales management and with Proctor & Gamble in the northeast region of the country. Taking his broad base of consumer knowledge forward, Ed purchased a well-known regional dairy processing company in the Boston, MA area. Within 4 years of ownership he was approached by and soon after sold the business to a major dairy concern well known to the Boston and New England region. Prior to joining Resource, Inc. in 1997, Ed worked as a Recruiter for 6 years at a Boston based Executive Search firm specializing in the recruitment of Finance executives. With 35 total year's experience in consumer markets and recruitment, Ed delivers real expertise.

Dana Commesso, Executive Recruiter
Dana has several direct areas of responsibility. She directly teams with Thomas Healy conducting specific candidate based research for retained level search assignments. Dana also conducts contingency and retained recruitment with specialization in Human Resource and Engineering functions. While personal networking remains the cornerstone of our business, modern technology provides excellent tools. Dana ensures that Resource, Inc. is utilizing state of the art technology to provide the highest level of service to our customers. Prior to joining Resource, Inc., Dana spent 8 years managing in the area of staff and individual training development with the United States Olympic Committee. She is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College and the University of Connecticut.

Tim Healy, Executive Recruiter
The value of understanding the marketplace, and knowing where to find top tier candidates is essential in our ability to refer those candidates with impeccable qualifications. Tim manages this effort through networking, and building relationships with both new and long term clients and candidates, keeping the Resource pipeline full at all times. Tim also conducts both retained and contingency assignments in areas specific but not limited to Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain. Tim is a post-graduate of the Loomis Chaffee School in 1999, and a graduate of Ithaca College in 2003. Prior to joining Resource, Tim spent two years conducting outdoor marketing events for several Mountain Dew® product lines within the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S.
